RYA Sailability offers people the chance to acheive the self-reliance that sailing brings and feel the exhilaration or peaceful relaxation of being on the water. Disability isn't an obtacle to taking part or being successful in sailing and many of the people assisted have no experience of sailing or of being on water before.
Imagine the thrill of sailing for people who can feel and hear but have no sight, or of sailing a boat at speed even though they can't walk, or of joining in a sport where deafness doesn't matter.
With over 200 clubs around the county and hundreds of volunteers giving their time, expertise and suport both ashore and afloat, RYA Sailability are able to make dreams a reality for 20,000 disabled people.
